Hello I sure hope you can help. I ate at Morrison's cafeteria so many times
at 100 Oaks Mall Nashville TN. They had a really good carmel pecan pie .
The chef gave me the recipe and I mis placed it when I moved. I know it
had a can of eagle brand condensed milk and pecans and was baked in graham
cracker crust. I have searched all sites and can't find it. It was so simple
but so good. Do you remember this pie?
Thanks Lisa
Hi Lisa,
I don't remember this pie, but that's not surprising because I always got the egg custard pie
at Morrison's.
I have an actual Morrison's kitchen manual from the late 1950s or 1960s, but it does not have
any sort of caramel pecan pie recipe. I have a great Morrison's contact, a former manager who
has a much more recent edition of the kitchen manual, and the below recipe called "Morrison's
Condensed Pecan Pie" was in it. This is the food service recipe and makes 7 pies. You will have
to cut it down to make one pie. The recipe that you were given before may have been already cut
down for home use by that chef.
