Hello Daryl,
River Street and nearby locations in Savannah have always been popular for seafood restaurants. The only one that I can find any mention of that was actually on River Street and that was named "The Oyster Bar" was at 324 River Street. The brief mention of it that I found praised their hush puppies, but gave no indication of a recipe. I had no success finding any other mention of the place or their hush puppies. Sorry.
I will post this. Perhaps a reader can shed some light and provide a recipe for similar hush puppies.
