Today's Case

Fried Chicken Deluxe

This recipe appeared in "The Hartford Courant" in 2004. See the "Personal Notes" below. No connection with the restaurant was given, but it was offered by a reader of the paper in response to the many requests for "The Chicken Coop's" (Hartford, CT restaurant) recipe. The reader said that they think this recipe from Crisco's "Good Eating" is close. I have not tried this recipe, nor have I ever had "The Chicken Coop's" fried chicken, so I can't say. If you have had "The Chicken Coop's" fried chicken and you try this recipe, let me know what you think...

Personal Notes:
This recipe appeared in the Hartford Courant in 2004. After many requests
for the Chicken Coop's fried chicken recipe, a reader submitted this,
stating that the recipe is very close to the original.(In their opinion.)
The Chicken Coop was a city landmark located on Asylum Street near
The Union Station. It closed in 1984.
