I have tried to find recipes for Clifton's Cafeteria Strawberry Cream Cake.
Clifton's had various locations in the Los Angeles CA area in the 70's and 80's.
Also a recipe for the Chocolate Chip Cookies made at the school cafeteria
of Edgewood High School in West Covina CA in the early 70's.

I had no success locating Clifton Cafeteria’s a recipe for strawberry cream cake.
I found several mentions of it, but no recipe. I have some Clifton’s recipes,
but not that one.
I found another request for this on Recipelink that’s been there for almost a year
with no replies. That’s a pretty good indication that the recipe is not available
and that no one has created a copycat.
I’ll post this for reader input.

When I was a kid, every year around Christmas my Mom would order these wonderful candies.
Some were minty some were fruity but they were all smooth and creamy. I seem to remember
them in a striped box but I could be wrong. It was late 50’s and into the 60’s.
Can you guide me?

Sorry, I could not find any mention at all of the Edgewood High School chocolate chip cookies.
Your best bet is probably to contact the West Covina Unified School District nutrition department.
They may have the recipe filed away. Their contact information is here: West Covina Unified School District Nutrition Department
My only other suggestion would be for you to locate a message board specific to Edgewood High
School graduates and/or employees or a message board for West Covina nostalgia.
